RUNNING FOR NORTH CAROLINA CABARRUS COUNTY COMMISSIONER–
Ingrid Nurse collaborates with various churches and the NAACP, attends County Commissioner meetings, helps candidates with other campaigns, and many other community outreach activities. She is a member of Down Home North Carolina, and Former Interim President of Senior Democrats now CCSD Cabarrus County Senior Democrats Membership Vice President. Ingrid advocates for children's' rights to safe schools, with reliable transportation systems, adequate funding, and resources to support higher education and better mental health. She believes in uniting and advocating for more affordable housing, more programs aimed to help everyone acquire safe housing, and build functional relationships with our community developers.
Ingrid is seeking affordable healthcare plans that are accessible for everyone, including the elderly; early mental health interventions; and healthcare education for the community. She is excited to stimulate our local economy by creating viable legislation to establish a higher minimum wage, offering economics/financial literacy courses in our schools, holding elected officials accountable for the corporate greed diminishing our community, and working with Public Transportation.
