Starting in 2024, North Carolina Forward Party will be hosting events dedicated to raising awareness and developing practical solutions for real problems here in North Carolina. We welcome a diversity of voices and ideas to help us understand the issues of our time. Through the spirit of cooperaiton and education, we'll develop the North Carolina Forward Party platform through working with experts, advocates, and normal citizens like you.
Intro
Human trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in North Carolina. Everything from forced labor to sexual slavery is a continued threat to human freedom and dignity. We've invited an advocated with over 20 years experience to help us understand the causes of human trafficking and why this issue is growing. Our goal is to come away with a better understanding of the crisis, how we can spot it, and (above all) how we can prevent it.
"Pam Strickland trains professional groups in how to recognize human trafficking and respond to it. Groups trained in recent months include law enforcement, social workers, teachers, counselors, therapists, healthcare providers and Crisis Intervention Teams. NC Stop Human Trafficking was founded by Pam Strickland in 2010 to address the growing crisis. "
