Voter Resources

One area of focus for the Forward Party is helping voters become more informed and more engaged.  We have put together a list of resources we suggest any voter visit to learn more about the issues in their area, and the candidates running for office.  Below is a list of websites we suggest all voters visit.

Democracy North Carolina offers a Nonprofit Voter Engagement Program (NPVE) that supports nonprofit service providers in their voter engagement efforts. They provide:

  • Up-to-date information on election laws
  • Assistance with mobilizing voters
  • Help in tailoring voter engagement plans for organizations
  • The program offers grants to nonprofits interested in participating in voter engagement activities

Nonprofit Vote is a leading source of nonpartisan resources to help nonprofits integrate voter engagement into their work. They assist nonprofits in:

Vote Smart

Vote Smart is a non-profit organization providing free, factual, and unbiased information on candidates and elected officials to American voters.

  • Founded over 30 years ago by Presidents Ford and Carter
  • Offers trusted, factual tools to combat political deception
  • Covers information from various states across the US
  • Longest-running unbiased project funded by citizens

The NC State Board of Elections

The NCSBE is a state agency responsible for overseeing elections and campaign finance in North Carolina.

  • Administers elections and campaign finance disclosure
  • Board members appointed by the Governor
  • Ensures balanced political representation
  • Provides official Election Results for NC

Ballotpedia is a digital encyclopedia of American politics, offering unbiased information on elections, politics, and policy.
