North Carolina Forward Party - Vice Chair
MJ is a Raleigh resident, originally from Maryland. MJ has a deep love for people and creating a better democracy.
A previous biology major, she has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
As a member of gen Z she has realized the ways that our country could be better and is committed to helping achieve this goal. From the housing bubble in 2007 that caused many to lose their homes, to her first time voting resulting in tyranny, and graduating on the tails of a pandemic, she has realized that she has to play an active role in fighting for a better path forward.
MJ believes that there is more that unites us than there is that separates us and is committed to making this the focal point of the country instead of division.
A founding Forwardist for North Carolina, she has been grateful to meet so many inspiring people that are just as dedicated as she is. She has seen firsthand how NC has developed since the early days of the Forward party and is excited for all that is to come as we continue to make history and to fight for a more vibrant democracy together.
